Nokia Lumia 625 with 4.7-inch Display Leaks.

Nokia is preparing to release its biggest Lumia smartphone ever. Images of the 4.7-inch Nokia Lumia 625 were leaked by China’s official radio communication device regulator after passing certification for the region.

The Lumia 625 is expected to come equipped with a 4.7-inch 800 x 480-pixel display, a dual-core 1.2GHz S4 processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and LTE connectivity. The budget-friendly handset is clearly meant to target emerging markets, though the device was also recently spotted in an FCC document, suggesting it could arrive in the U.S. as an AT&T exclusive.

Nokia continues to struggle in its efforts to gain a foothold in the premium handset market, with Windows Phone claiming less than 10 percent of the U.S market, but the company has seen success targeting emerging markets with its line of low-cost smartphones. The budget-friendly Lumia 520 (that’s the 521 in the U.S.) is the most popular Windows Phone around with 13.3 percent of the market share worldwide and over 30 percent of the market in India. So it’s no surprise that Nokia is rolling out another low-cost Lumia with one hand even while it continues to push the Huge Lumia 1020 with the other.
